I love to drive

On this opportunity I am going to write about driving. Since I was a little boy I liked to observe and learn how to drive a car, I always did questions to my dad about driving and along my life he taught me the theory of driving.

When I was about fifteen years old I began to move the car a few meters inside of my home or also taking it out of the parking. After that, when I was seventeen my dad taught me how to drive the car on some alone streets at the beach, that helped me feel more secure because I already felt that I knew how to drive.

While after I had a car accident with my parents, so that made me feel afraid to drive again. When I overcome that moment I began to practice driving again, and then I got my driver’s license. At the beginning I didn’t use it very much, but now my father lends me his car often to go find my girlfriend or to take her back to hers home, in general to go out with her, and also when I go out with my family I drive the car more than my parents.

Im going to be a father

I am going to write about the news that changed my life in one second…  That news was knowing that I am going to be a dad. I can say that this changed my life in one second because from the first moment I knew, I had to think and plan every detail to face the new big challenged of my life, and besides of thinking and planning I also have to act fast so I can made it well.

I have been many years with my girlfriend but it was not planned, it was something that just happened. She gave me the news when I was still in my journey at New York with my dad, she wrote me a message telling the results of the blood test, and it said that she was about six weeks pregnant, on that moment I couldn’t tell my dad the news because I had to talk many things with her first. 

My feelings were of much happiness but also of nervous. The day I arrived back to Chile I meet with my girlfriend to speak a lot of things, like how we were going to live, how to tell our parents, how to earn money, and many other things. The next step was getting an appointment with a doctor and doing exams to check that everything was going right. And the following thing was search for a paid professional practice. So after we got things resolved as much as possible, we decided to tell the news to our parents and we received support and good wishes from them.

So now she has five months of pregnancy and we are constructing the way to receive our little boy and to form our family together. 

My 2013

Well, doing a review of the year so far, I feel that this has been a great year, because in general I haven’t passed through bad or negative important things. If I go to the beginning of the year, a good thing that happened was a travel I made with some friends to Gualeguaychu, Argentina. I went to that place with the purpose to play the Alternative American Cup of football. To get there we went in two cars, I drove one that my dad lend to me for this trip. That was a very long journey, but a fantastic one. Other good thing that passed to me this year was to change from goalkeeper to the position of forward on the football matches, and with this obtaining good results. I also travel to New York with my dad on July, that was a travel to practice our english and to meet new places, it was a fantastic trip where among other things I recovered time alone with my father. Besides, finishing that journey I received the great news that I was going to be a dad. This news took me by surprise and changed my life completely, but it was far the better one.

Trying to remember bad things, I can highlight that on the second semester of the year I stopped training and doing exercises for the lack of time and energy that meant studying and doing my professional practice at the same time.

My achievements on this year, are mainly approve all my classes, so I can finish my career in the shorter time possible.

Some things I haven’t done yet is winning the King’s Cup with my football team named Sotten, finding a permanent job, finish my professional practice, and to live with my girlfriend and the son that is on coming.

A few important news that I received this year was, as I just said above, know that I will have a baby, and also know that is going to be a little boy.

So finally I can say that this year has been mainly of transition and for constructing ways to achieve new challenges. 

English language

I am Fabián Campos and I think English is necessary in today's world. We all need English to work. I think it's good that I have a college English course. I learned little at school and other students learned English so far serves to level, but I think it is not enough.

The blogs are very well because I can work writing and in classes I can practice speaking. Also I used blog to learn vocabulary on specific topics requested in each session.

I think I need to improve vocabulary. I need to learn more words. I also need to practice with the times past, present and future. Today I can already speak a little and understand well the words that I know, but I need to learn more words. I think in the summer will practice more English, listening to songs and watching movies.

Currently English daily in internet use, I did not realize but English is everywhere. That's good to go to work every day and naturally. English is also in the songs that I listen to. In social networks there are always English publications that force me to learn. Also my games are also in English, but subtitled in Spanish.

I think that one day I will put my TV, playstation, phone, computer and ipod to be learning English more compulsorily. I also have a friend in the United States and I can practice my English with him.

Now I want to pass this English course to my Licenciatura en Comunicación Social, but I know that I need to learn to speak and occupy it in the future.

The Summer

The summer is the best time in the year. I love the sun and I like when the days are more long. I think that horary's summer must be always in Chile because the sun's light is very good for healthy of people.

In the summer I always go to the beach with my family or friends. I like sleep in the beach an eta "palmeritas", "cuchuflí" and ice cream. I like to play football, volley and tennis in the beach. In the night I go to the amusement park and I love to go to the party.

In the summer I go to the lake. I go to the camping, is very interesting. I love swim in the lake and go sailing. I always fishing in the lake with my dad, you need to be patient for this activity. In the night you can sing an play the guitar.

In my house we have a swimming pool and this is very necessary to stay in Santiago in summer because the clime is very hot all the time. Also you can drink a beer for the hot. In Santiago I always ride bicycle or I running in this time.

In the summer I have a time to make a lot of activities and it is very important because I need make my personal things and I think that in winter, spring or autumnal I don't have a time for this activities. In the summer I am relax and with positive mind.

How green I am?

My family isn’t green even though we are irresponsible with the earth planet. In my house we don’t recycle plastic or paper. We always turn off the lights or  we take care of the water. I hate people who throw away trash on the road or street.

In my life I haven’t been ecological but I make ecological things like riding a bike, do not pollute the streets, leaves and inform about situations against animal abuse.

Now I am working in an NGO that deals with certain environmental issues such as solar power, the NGO is called "La Ruta Solar". We have three projects, “Taller Solar” where we teach children about caring for the environment and we can teach children to make a small solar car. “Desafio Cero” that is an electric car competition designed to operate in the city without polluting the air. And “Carrera Solar” which is a solar car competition is done in the Atacama Desert.

With this experience I have become much more ecological and environmental care now and I've met new life forms on our planet friendly. I think it is important for all people to know more about how to care for our planet and our country has more environmental projects for children to be educated and cared this world.

Today we all need to take care of our planet because it is very disturbing changes taking, but still not too late to change our lifestyle and stop polluting both the planet and all its inhabitants.

The Beatles

I knew The Beatles since day when I born but they liked me in 2008 when I went to The Beats’s concert with my father. Since this day I start to listen to songs of The Beatles everydays. Also I saw all films during 2008. I saw A hard day’s night, Yellow Submarine, Help! , Magical Mistery Tour, Let it be and Across the universe.

After I went again a The Beats’s concert in 2009 and was very fantastic because I could sing all song in the concert. In the 2008 I couldn’t sing because I didn’t know it.

Although I went to concert of Paul Mccartney in Estadio Nacional from Santiago. I loved this presentation, I cried and sang all time because I was very exited during every song.

In 2012 I went to Ringo Starr’s concert in Movistar Arena of Santiago with my dad. This concert was quiet because the people don’t know all songs and only sang Yellow Submarine and it don't come easy.

My favorite Beatle is George Harrison because he always made great song although Paul and John denied him write and sing until 1967.

I’m happy because I could see two of four Beatles because they have life. Also I went to Central Park and I visited Strawberry Fields For Ever with my dad in this year.  

Summary Djokovic-Nadal in China Open

Novak Djokovic won China Open to Rafael Nadal. The Serbian tennis player defeated to Spanish tennis player but in the same way Djokovic lost his number one position in the world.

The game was played in hard court, place where Djokovic feels more comfortable. Novak wanted win this game because Nadal took him the First position in the world and because Nadal has been the best player in the 2013 year.

The final match in the China Open were short, Novak Djokovic won to Rafael Nadal in two sets, 6-3 and

6-4. Nadal said that Djokovic played very well and that Novak had good service during all match. With this victory, Novak close the distance in the matches between them, now Nadal has won twenty two times and Djokovic sixteen times.

Rafael Nadal is the number one tennis player in the world since this Monday because he has won a lot of tournaments in this year including Roland Garros Open in France and US Open in the United States.

Now Djokovic is the second best tennis player in the world. Djokovic was more of one hundred week in the top of world tennis ranking. But Novak can get the first position in the Master Champions on London in November if he can win to Nadal in this tournament.

Colo Colo

My favourite football team is Colo Colo, from Chile. Currently, this team is very bad in its sport performance. But before I talk about its present I want to talk about its history.

Colo Colo was born in 1925. Colo Colo was founded by David Arellano and other players from Magallanes. They were thrown out of Magallanes because they requested improvements in the institution and about the football player’s salary.

Since Colo Colo was born, they won a lot of championships. Colo Colo has won twenty-nine Chilean Championships and is the team that has won the most in this country. On top, Colo Colo is the only team that won Libertadores Cup in Chile, this victory was in 1991, the year when I was born.

But today Colo Colo is 16 out of 18 team in Apertura Championship. Since 2009 Colo Colo can’t win one cup and everyday Colo Colo falls in its level. In four years Colo Colo has had nine team managers, no one can win neither get better.

The fans of Colo Colo wait that their team can get better already, because the Chilean majority are fans of Colo Colo and the hooligans are sad, very sad. Although Colo Colo doesn’t win, the fans are unconditional and continue to encourage them.   

I want to travel

Today I’m going to talk about travelling. I believe that travelling is the best experience in life. I don’t think that the other places are better than Chile or are better than Santiago. I like travelling because I can know a lot of people. I’ve traveled to South America and I’ve spoken with other people from other countries but when they speak Spanish. I want to learn more languages because I want to speak with more different people.

When you are with other people you can feel that all humans are identical. Although someone has more money or someone lives in a developed country, we really have the same problems and the same abilities, then we are identical.

The differences were created by the system, when the people begin to believe in themselves. When the humans begin to think in one “me”, they make the life look as a competition.

I want that more people can travel and can talk with another humans or that the people speak with their neighbors and compatriots and not only compete between them all the time.

My ideal job

I am studying journalism because I want to be a sports journalist in the radio. This is my ideal job because I love the sports and I enjoy making comments about it.

If I want to be a good sports journalist I need to know many sports with its rules and historys. Also I need to talk and read many opinions of specialist in each discipline. Another important things is to have an excellent pronunciation and diction.

I always think that when people love their jobs, they will do it well. Then as I love sports I believe that I will do it good enough in my job. Also I know many information about sports because during all my life I've been practicing and watching sports.

I believe that there is not much working field for the sport journalism in radio in Chile, but I also think that there is not too many people studying journalism to get on in sports area and more specifically to work on radio.

Experiences during the first term this year

In the last six months I studied my seventh semester of journalism in the Universidad de Chile. I made subject of Producción de Televisión, Estrategia Organizacional, Seminario, Culturas Latinoamericanas and Periodismo Multimedia. I learned about direction of television, about company, internet and cultures of South America.

I played football and went to the gym all last semester. I played football every Saturday for the ICEI team. Else, I trained every Wednesday for this reason.

I always studied late for my test, then I had problems with the time for finish all my homeworks. Also I had that stop my sports activities in the last week because I didn´t have a time to made it.

In july I traveled with my father to New York. I knew a lot of attractive in this city. I visited museums, Central Park, Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Empire State and others places. I loved travel with my dad.
